Where to input FOM costs for DCUCOPF simulations?

I don’t see a field to enter FOM costs for generators. Does SAInt use FOM costs? If so, where can I enter them?

Hi @smeloney,

SAInt will only use fixed operations and maintenance (FOM) costs in capacity expansion modeling (CEM) scenarios. As of V3.6 of SAInt, the CEM is not yet fully integrated in the GUI so the property is not found directly in the core SAInt object model.

For Free Trial users with access to the SAInt PCM, ACPF, and UACPF capabilities, this should be fine because FOM is not used in any of those mathematical models. These mathematical models describe and/or optimize the operation of the power system, which is independent of any fixed costs to maintain investments and/or infrastructure. However, reporting FOM costs can still be valuable for certain studies that are leveraging these features in SAInt.

I hope this helps!

Ok thanks Will, I was going to try a CEM sim but maybe I’ll just stick with PCM now.
