What is a "Model Ready Dataset"?

Great question! SAInt is a powerful modeling engine, but the outputs of any model exercise are only as good as the inputs. “Garbage in, garbage out”, right?

Each official Model Ready Dataset published by encoord is a carefully curated set of inputs, results, and supporting materials. These are designed to help users get started using SAInt quickly, but they are just as valuable as examples for how to build a flexible, high-quality model in SAInt.

Each Model Ready Dataset includes:

  • All modeling inputs in SAInt format (networks, hubs, scenarios, initial state files, etc.)
  • All modeling outputs in SAInt format (solutions, final state files, etc.)
  • A README file (brief description, license & disclaimer, etc.)
  • All modeling inputs in SAInt import format (.xlsx, .csv, .txt, or other)
  • Scripts for advanced results viewing in the GUI (.ipy) [optional]
  • Any necessary supporting materials (additional documentation, explanations, further reading, or others) [optional]

Great!
I made a strategic change to the last two items by adding “[optional]” at the end. This is because we may not always provide Python scripts or have supporting material to provide.
