Feature Request: Improved Session File Capability

The session files are great for picking up work where I left off, but there are two improvements that would make it even better.

  1. I’ve noticed that whatever tables and scripts I had open do not reopen in the same order (left to right). This is quiet annoying and when I go to re-order them, they often “pop out” from the middle window, which makes for twice the work in re-ordering them.

  2. The windows that I had had pinned (auto-hide) are no longer pinned when I re-open my session.

Still haven’t tested whether changes made and saved to the network & scenario are preserved or not when re-opening a session that was not re-saved.. Will report back as I experiment more.

similarly related to session files, it seems that my hidden columns in my tables are also not recalled. This would be nice :slight_smile:

Do either of you have any questions about the feedback from @smeloney on using the Session capability?

Thank you @smeloney for sharing your feedback about the usefulness of the session files and raising the issue with the GUI component orders/positions/states. We have this issue in our backlog. However, it has not been in one of our top priorities. We will try to include it in our development backlog for the future.
